Fin Chair by Matthew Hilton for De La Espada

This is simply my opinion, but De La Espada is creating the most amazing hand crafted solid wood furniture available on the market today. Nothing else comes close. The attention to detail is stunning, and you can see this being proven by some of the photos from their London Design Festival show room. Click through to see them….

On top of that Matthew Hilton might also be one of the best furniture designers.

The Fold Chair by Marina Bautier

To design a folding chair is hard enough, but to make one as comfortable as a lounge chair adds quite a degree of difficulty. I love Marina’s solution, as well as her other pieces, which you can check out on her website.

The A-Chair by Werner Aisslinger. Its frame is comprised of a single 25mm steel tube, which is amazing considering that would have to be about a 6-meter tube. I am seriously in love with this chair and also jealous that I didn’t design it myself.
